Innovative real estate design: the example of the new IARC headquarters in Lyon With the participation of Alexandre PERGA, Director of the DEMATHIEU-BARD agency The International Agency for Research on Cancer now has its headquarters in the heart of the Gerland district in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon, in a building whose design has been placed under the sign of innovation. In particular because its developers highlight the use of biomimicry, i.e. taking inspiration from natural phenomena in the construction of works, to design the building's facades. This bio-inspiration makes it possible to make it a particularly energy-efficient building. In view of its technical specificities, this achievement has been the subject of numerous comments in the specialized press. These aspects will be presented and discussed with Alexandre Perga. We will notably ask ourselves with him whether this construction can be considered as a model to follow for future projects. In order to discover the innovations of this achievement, we invite you to join our discussions which will take place on the occasion of the EFAB Café which will take place on January 11, 2024 from 6:30 p.m. on the Sciences-U Lyon Campus.
