Transistor Tester or ESR-meter LCR-T4 is a universal tester of electronic components. I decided to order the simplest ESR meter, which has rightfully become known as the people's. This is the LCR-T4 transistor tester. It can determine the parameters of resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors, quartz resonators, diodes and diode assemblies, LEDs, low-power thyristors and triacs, as well as zener diodes. If this is not enough for you, the transistor tester can act as a rectangular pulse generator, set the duty cycle and measure the signal frequency. Dimensions: 72.5x63x10.7 mm. The main part of the radio component tester board is occupied by a monochrome 2.6-inch LCD display with a resolution of 128x64 pixels. The screen has a uniform green backlight. This device is powered by a 9-volt 6F22 battery. The heart of the universal component tester LCR-T4 is the AVR Atmel MEGA328P microcontroller. In standby mode, the consumption of the transistor tester LCR-T4 was only 0.03 μA. During testing, the current rose to a maximum of 34 mA and remained on average around 25 mA. The ESR meter works adequately with a supply voltage of 7 to 9 volts. To calibrate the LCR-T4 transistor tester, it is necessary to start it with contacts 1, 2 and 3 shorted together. If you press and hold the button, the display contrast setting is activated. Then, with short presses, set the required value. When testing bipolar transistors, the tester determines their conductivity, displays their pinout, Hfe or current gain, and the base-emitter junction bias voltage. When testing field-effect transistors, the tester shows the type of semiconductor conductivity, the opening threshold voltage, the pinout and the gate capacitance. When testing diodes, the tester shows the pinout, the voltage drop at the pn junction of the open diode and the capacitance of the pn junction. When testing LEDs, the LCR-T4 transistor tester lights them up, displays the pinout, the voltage drop at the junction and the junction capacitance. The declared resistance measurement range is from 0.01 Ohm to 50 MOhm. The measurement range of inductance coils is from 10 μH to 20 H. When testing chokes or inductors, the LCR-T4 transistor tester displays the name of this element, as well as the coil inductance and its resistance, at the top. The capacitance measurement range is from 25 pF to 100 mF with a step of 1 pF. Before testing capacitive electrolytic capacitors, it is necessary to discharge them by short-circuiting the legs. Otherwise, the controller may fail. When testing capacitors, the transistor tester shows the capacitance, equivalent series resistance, and leakage voltage. When testing zener diodes, the ESR meter shows the stabilization voltage and the voltage drop at the pn junction. It remains to summarize, and I will start with the disadvantages. If you use the tester without any modifications, then the disadvantages include a fairly high current consumption in active mode, power supply from the crown, which discharges quite quickly, not the best firmware, a fairly high measurement error at low values, no protection on the input contacts, and the high cost of the case. For me, many of these disadvantages are fixable. The LCR-T4 transistor tester can do a lot. And it has significantly more advantages: 1. Low cost; 2. The ability to automatically determine the parameters of most 2- and 3-pin components; 3. Quick determination of the parameters of bipolar transistors; 4. Measuring ESR and Vloss in capacitors; 5. Determining the pinout and parameters of field-effect transistors; 6. Checking diodes and LEDs; 7. Can measure the parameters of inductors; 8. Large screen with backlight; 9. Ease of use; 10. The ability to reflash and modify the tester. For me personally, the LCR-T4 transistor tester has become a good addition to my Richmeters RM111 multimeter. Richmeters provides the accuracy of determining the main parameters, and the ESR meter does the rest. ▬▬▬ Earn money on purchases on Aliexpress: http://got.by/24utjm ▬▬▬ Earn money on Youtube (connect affiliate): http://goo.gl/uuHT70 ▬▬▬ Aliexpress app for Android: http://goo.gl/zRvQXf ▬▬▬ 💗 Likecoin – coins for likes: https://likecoin.pro/@demalit/pcg8/yeb9
