Welcome to the 4x4 Adventure Raid circuit in Ocaña, Toledo. After a year of waiting, we have the first press unit of the INEOS Grenadier in Spain, in its Trialmaster version with a diesel engine and multiple options. In this video, we will break down every technical and functional detail of this extreme off-roader, both on the road and off-road. Introduction The INEOS Grenadier is a unique vehicle, designed for durability and performance on difficult terrain. With high-quality components such as BMW engines, ZF gearbox, Brembo brakes, and Recaro seats, this off-roader represents the pinnacle of over-engineering. Exterior The dimensions of the Grenadier are imposing: almost 4.9 meters long, less than 2 meters wide, and more than 2 meters high. This vehicle combines car and truck characteristics, always prioritizing performance on the field. Its frame with side members, recirculating ball steering, and double rigid axle suspension stand out. Technical Features **Suspension & Axles**: Rigid axle suspension allows for better articulation and robustness, ideal for rough terrain. **Accessories & Options**: Includes waterproof auxiliary battery, multiple power outlets, and pre-installation for front and rear winches. **Load Capacity**: The roof can support up to 420kg static, allowing the use of roof tents. Interior The interior of the Grenadier is designed to be functional and durable, with Safari windows, large buttons for use with gloves, and a mechanical handbrake. It is fully floodable, with drains and a clearly marked maximum flood level. Traction Modes & Locks **Off-Road Mode**: Reduces electronic intervention and disables functions not needed on rough terrain. **Wading Mode**: Optimizes the vehicle for crossing deep bodies of water, disabling non-submersible functions and limiting speed to 30km/h. Dynamic Test The Grenadier offers two BMW engines: one petrol and one diesel, both with sufficient, though not brilliant, performance in terms of torque and power. Its performance on the road is robust but it stands out in difficult terrain, proving to be an unstoppable machine. Off-road Test The Grenadier has the best possible traction system, the total differential lock. In our 4x4 tests it has had an outstanding performance, reminding us at all times of the Mercedes G Class for its infinite capacity to overcome obstacles and for the insulation and ease it transmits to the interior. The different tests have not even tickled the capabilities of the car. Prices and Rivals The base price of the Grenadier in the two-seater industrial version is €73,243, while the civilized version starts at €93,930. Its main rivals would be the Ford Bronco Badlands and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, although it also competes with the Land Rover Defender, the Toyota Land Cruiser and at another level of price and philosophy with the Mercedes G-Class. Conclusion The INEOS Grenadier is the ultimate vehicle for off-road adventures. With exceptional engineering and unique customization options, it is ideal for those looking for an off-roader without compromises. Is it worth its price? We will leave that to you.
