Prague rapper Indy is one of the founding fathers of what we call the Czech hip-hop scene today. The debut album of the group Indy & Wich, which was released exactly twenty years ago under the name My 3, is one of the cornerstones of Czech rap, as is, for example, the legendary album Repertoire of PSH colleagues. In terms of sales, Indy & Wich were significantly more successful than them at the time. In On Air, Andreas Christodoulou, as Indy's real name is, recalled not only his very beginnings, when he first stood on stage with a microphone in his hand because of a bet, but also the times when he led the MadDrum label and recorded his latest album KMBL with drummer Radek Tomášek from the rock band Clou, after which he practically went silent for ten years. However, he also talked about his new album, which he is currently preparing. Why didn't he want their songs to be played by the most successful music radio station? How did the hard core and punk music he listened to before rap influence him? And how does he remember his beef with Supercrooo years later? Watch the full interview. ON AIR is a talk show by music journalist Pavel Kučera with musicians and people from the music industry. A new episode is published every week on the YouTube channel kytary.cz.
