Available until 06/11/2028 From hunter-gatherers to car sharing... since the dawn of time, humanity has rhymed with mobility. But in the future, will transport be individual or collective? Is mobility simply a means of transport or is it a key issue? In Europe, 85% of all journeys are now made by private car. However, road transport is the leading source of CO2 emissions in the world, thus contributing massively to the worsening of global warming. Given this observation, the rise of public transport and the widespread use of carpooling seem essential. But will collective mobility truly succeed in establishing itself in our societies? How will we get around in the more or less near future? Psychology professor Bertolt Meyer tackles these questions with his two guests: geography researcher Henrike Rau, convinced that social obstacles will block collective mobility, and futurologist Eike Wenzel, who assures that all the financial and technological conditions are in place for this change.
