Eric Marié explains how to properly prepare Chinese ink, starting with a stick by rubbing it on an ink stone. Contrary to what we sometimes see, to quickly obtain good ink, it is not enough to fill the inkwell with water and rub the ink stick until the desired concentration is obtained...
