The Independence of the United States, at the time the 13 English Colonies, was greatly influenced by Enlightenment Ideals and represents a milestone in the history of the American Continent. The French Revolution is the episode that inaugurates the Contemporary Age, in 1789, with the Fall of the Bastille. You have certainly heard of the Girondins, Jacobins, the left, the right, Robespierre, the Assembly, the Directory, the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, the Republic, the Sans Cullotes, Napoleon and the Napoleonic Era... All of these subjects are directly related to the French Revolution - which is extensive and complex, but it is essential to understand it since it usually appears in the Enem and other entrance exams, in addition to having an influence on our lives to this day!
