In the first episode, entitled "The Mercenary from Little Nog", based on tradition and genealogical memory, the migrations of Karađorđe's ancestors from the 14th to the 18th century, when they came to Šumadija, were shown. Karađorđe's childhood, boyhood, youth, marriage and defection to Srem are illuminated by memoirists and storytellers such as Gaja Pantelić, Petar Jokić and Anica Savić. For the first time in this series, many places where Karađorđe lived with his family will appear: Bokanja hill in Žabari, from where Karađorđe's father was expelled, the place where Karađorđe's house was in Zagorica, Lapin in the village of Vrbici, where Karađorđe was as a young man servant at Boško Govedar, as well as the church in Gorović, where he married Jelena.
