In 2000, 36-year-old musician Peter is burdened with enormous debt as a result of his addiction. To solve his problems, he lets himself be tempted to smuggle a package of cocaine from Isla Margarita to Amsterdam. He is arrested, convicted and has to survive in the Venezuelan San Antonio prison, where a gang war rages and anyone can become a victim of a lack of basic care, violence or murder. Disclaimer: it makes you anything but a hero if you smuggle drugs. But it is beautiful how Peter uses his story to warn and inform other young people about the bizarre prison life there. If you want to read more from Peter, check out the book 'Agua Verde' here - https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/agua-verd... Everyone has their own story and there are still so many stories that need to be told. The series 'Hero in Own Story' focuses on various inspiring guests with a special story.
