It was announced on October 17th that actor Toshiyuki Nishida passed away at his home in Tokyo. He was 76 years old. Nishida attended the press conference for the completion report of "Doctor X: The Movie" held on October 8th. He looked healthy. Meanwhile, with the movie version being the end of "Doctor X", Nishida commented on his role as Hiruma Shigekatsu, "When I thought that this was the time to say goodbye to the role of Hiruma Shigekatsu, I felt a little lonely. That's how I felt." He revealed that out of all the roles he has played, the role of Hiruma is "one of my top five favorite roles," and he was seen crying as he said, "That's why I wanted to be Hiruma Shigekatsu forever." The serial drama "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko", which has been broadcast on TV Asahi for seven series since October 2012, is a medical drama that depicts the exploits of Daimon Michiko, a lone freelance surgeon who is not affiliated with the medical department of a university hospital, but instead belongs to a suspicious referral center for top doctors, and travels from one hospital to another. This drama, which has been loved for many years, has finally been made into a movie called "Doctor X the Movie"!
