Article from March 25, 2023 Dr. Sven Brajer was born in Upper Lusatia and was 5 years old at the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall and now lives in Berlin. After successfully completing his training as a retail clerk in Göttingen, he began a dual degree in banking at the Dresden University of Cooperative Education, followed by studies in history, sociology and political science at the TU in Dresden. He received a scholarship from the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation for his doctoral thesis. His dissertation is entitled "On the outskirts of Dresden - The ethnic-national spectrum of a conservative cultural city from 1879 to 1933." The historian, who holds a doctorate, has now become a publicist and since late summer 2022 he has been running the blog "In the East. Perspectives against the spirit of the times" as a freelance journalist. Shortly afterwards, he started the unity podcast on the "Hot Autumn" together with Aron Morhoff. Sven Brajer focuses on European social, cultural and economic history of the 19th to 21st centuries, revolutionary research, geopolitics and current financial, economic and social developments. He pays particular attention to parties, movements and the functioning of propaganda. Sven Brajer has processed this in his book "The (Self)Destruction of the German Left: From Criticism of Capitalism to the Woken Establishment", published in March 2023.
