Many of them ended up being sales failures, mainly due to the restricted market of the Soviet Union. But some projects stood out, and that was the case of the Ilyushin IL-62, an aircraft with a very peculiar feature: four engines in the tail. The construction of this aircraft was thought out, very different from other Soviet manufacturers of that time. That's why they were able to make an aircraft that met exactly what the local market needed. In this video I tell the whole story of the Ilyushin IL-62, the greatest success story of Soviet civil aviation.
