In front of a packed hall of 700 people, Ilya shared his thoughts on the current political situation and the prospects for Russian civil society in the fight against the war in Ukraine and against the Putin regime. About ways to support political prisoners and save people from repression. He also answered numerous questions from the audience. Special guests included former officer and deserter Alexander Sterlyadnikov, who refused to take part in the fighting in Ukraine and created the anti-war project "Farewell to Arms", Tatyana Khomich, sister of the political prisoner from Belarus Maria Kolesnikova, Mikhail Lobanov, mathematician, professor, trade unionist and member of the socialist movement, Irina Galkina from Memorial, to whom Ilya gave his prison uniform for the human rights museum, and Alexey Prokopyev, co-founder of the organization Russie-Libertés. The meeting was very warm, friendly, productive and inspiring for the pro-democratic community of Russians in France.
