Natural wonder In the north of the province of Misiones, on the border with Brazil, are the majestic Iguazu Falls: one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular places in Latin America. Both its location in the middle of the jungle and its enormous volume of water and numerous waterfalls make it an unforgettable place and a must-see on any trip to Argentina. The National Park was created in 1934 and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. It also received the mention of Area of Importance for the Protection of Birds (AICA). Iguazu Falls Visiting the Iguazu National Park and enjoying one of the 7 wonders of the world is a must-see for local and international travelers. This destination, which currently receives more than 1 million visitors per year, contains all the ingredients for a unique trip, full of excursions and activities that will make it an unforgettable experience. Iguazu Falls are located in an area famous for its natural wealth, shared by 3 countries: Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. This wonder is made up of 275 falls, distributed in an uneven way: 80% is concentrated on the Argentine side, while the remaining 20% is on the Brazilian side. However, it is almost obligatory to visit both Parks since the views are different and complementary (one day on each side –depending on the speed and capacity of each one- is enough to visit them). And what is the weather like at the Falls? Humidity and heat are a constant, with small variations according to the season: • Summer in the Falls: very hot all day. • Autumn in the Falls: pleasant during the day, cool nights. • Winter in the Falls: pleasant during midday and early afternoon, with cool mornings and cold nights. • Spring in the Falls: very hot at midday and early afternoon; The Argentine National Park, unlike the Brazilian one, will take us 1 full day. Its route is much longer since it has different sectors and circuits that can be combined. Many people decide to repeat this excursion, especially those who take the spectacular boat ride, better known as the Great Adventure (Click to see our video :) It is optional but, if you do it, it will take us approximately 2 hours, which is subtracted from the time available to go through all the circuits. After passing the interpretation center and service areas, the first thing we are going to enjoy is the Ecological Train. In it, we will cross (and enjoy!) the jungle with all its green tones. We arrive at the Garganta station, where there is the access to the main balcony and the most spectacular view of the Iguazu Falls. The train route continues to connect with the upper and then lower circuit, with its respective waterfalls and cascades, all unique and dazzling.
