Road inspector Joshua is driving his shift in the Rotterdam region when he is sent to a motorcycle that has broken down on the A16, just before the Van Brienenoord Bridge. The motorcyclist indicates that he has run out of petrol, an incident that we see happening more and more often. It is important to refuel well in advance, because a breakdown can lead to dangerous situations. Fortunately, there was still a stretch of emergency lane at this location, but this is not the case everywhere. Road inspector Joshua has the right lane crossed off so that the motorcyclist can be safely towed away by the recovery vehicle. However, some people do not care about the red crosses above the road. Unfortunately, it still happens too often that drivers ignore a red cross, with all the possible consequences. Joshua explains the dangers and calls on drivers to listen to the crosses: they are there #notforniX! More information about red crosses: https://www.rijkswaterstaat.nl/wegen/.... After the incident with the motorcycle, road inspector Joshua is sent to an incident where oil had allegedly leaked onto the road surface. Here too, our road inspectors play an important role. Oil on the road is not only dangerous, but also bad for the environment. Want to hear more about the work of our road inspectors?
