Although the information is not definite, it is possible that it was abandoned around 1960. In fact, this area was expropriated for the construction of the dam in the early 1960s. It was a place where the Greeks lived until the 1890s, with an area of 35 thousand acres. One part is forest, the other part is agricultural. After the population exchange, the Greeks left this area and Sefer Usta, who was of Kirkuk origin, took over here. Later, this place became famous as the 'Sefer Usta Farm'. It was used as a distribution center for weapons smuggled to Anatolia during the War of Independence.
