I went to Chiba Park because the baseball field/bicycle track was renovated and opened on April 26, 2024. I was surprised at how beautiful it was. I had planned to eat at "Pan to Espresso to," which is the first store in Chiba, but it was closed. The Oga Lotus Festival will be held from June 15th to 23rd, so I'm thinking of going then. "OUTOOR TERRACE LOTUS" is a restaurant that serves wild boar and venison meat, but it was a bit too expensive for lunch, so I passed on it this time. I walked around the park and ate at Cafe Harmony at Watauchi Pond. I had seasonal vegetable curry, and it tasted like homemade curry. On the day I went, the park was being maintained, so the noise of the lawnmower and other equipment was a bit loud. Also, passenger planes were frequently passing overhead, probably going to Haneda Airport. When I see an airplane, I react immediately. It seems that various events are held at Chiba YohaS Arena. The bicycle racing track has also been turned into a dome, and it looks futuristic and very beautiful. Chiba Park is the former Imperial Japanese Army Railway Regiment training ground, so there are still traces of the old military atmosphere. We visited Itsukushima Shrine next to Chiba Park and returned to the parking lot. It is a recommended park where you can relax and enjoy nature and have a meal, close to Chiba Station.
