I want to go to the sea! To Grado, where I went on holiday as a child. To get there, I picked out a few things from my to-do list that I've wanted to tick off for a long time: the Vrsic Pass, the turquoise-blue Soca, the region around Udine and the Alpe-Adria cycle path. The gravel bike is the ideal touring and travel bike, the panniers offer enough space, even if you don't know exactly what weather to expect. And even if it's paradoxically still 22 degrees at the end of October, hotels are the first choice for overnight stays - so you can safely leave your sleeping equipment at home. In the first part of the video, we take the train to Villach, then on the Alpe-Adria cycle path to Tarvisio, then on to Krajnska Gora, over the Vrsic into the Soca valley to the formerly divided city of Gorizia/Nova Gorica. And from there it's just a stone's throw to the beach in Grado. ;) Komoot collection with the route: https://www.komoot.de/collection/1851... There will be a separate video on the topic of bikes and equipment.
