Matt got his hands on one of the most luxurious cars he has ever reviewed, the brand new Lexus LM! This is an all-new minivan from Lexus, and Matt is out to find out if it has what it takes to compete with luxury sedans like the Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series. In terms of design, there’s not much to say about the rear end or the sides. Other than some minor chrome bits all over the car, there’s a spoiler at the back, but that’s about it. However, once you step forward, you’ll be greeted by Lexus’ signature HUGE grille! This helps make it stand out on the road, and on the sides, it’s equipped with high-tech matrix LED headlights. The quality of the interior for the driver is more than decent. There’s plenty of leather inside, as well as a large infotainment screen and digital dial. There’s plenty of storage space inside, and the seats are incredibly comfortable. However, sit in the back and you’ll find that comfort has been taken to a whole new level. We got our hands on the top-of-the-range Takumi version, which has just two business-class style seats. The huge screen that runs the length of the cabin is complemented by multiple speakers, including two huge speakers built into each door! The seats can recline completely, there are built-in window shades and there’s more storage space for your belongings than you have at home! It really is a first-class way to travel. When it comes to engine choice, there’s only one. It’s a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, paired with a CVT and an electric motor. There’s the option of adding an extra electric motor to provide all-wheel drive, but interestingly, with either one or two motors, the car produces 250bhp! The Lexus LM isn’t cheap. The base trim will set you back £90,000, while the top-of-the-range model costs a whopping £113,000! So is it worth it? You will have to stay with Matt and find the answer together with him.
