In this video, I talk about my experience with the gas shock absorber for the CB500X! Unfortunately, the shock absorber that arrived to me was extremely hard and I couldn't get it to have any damping action even after adjusting it with the clickers! After researching, I realized that many people liked using this shock absorber, so maybe mine was the only one that came with a defect. Since each installation and maintenance of this shock absorber requires paying the mechanic's labor, and in my case, they charged me R$200.00, so I decided to return and recondition my original shock absorber! The mechanic who reconditioned my shock absorber said that he had already done it for other HONDA CB500Xs and that this is a chronic defect of the bike, and he had customers who used his report to prove to Honda that the shock absorber was defective from the factory and were able to get the money spent on the reconditioning back! After reconditioning mine, I've ridden my bike a lot! It didn't leak and the service was excellent, the bike is much smoother and doesn't throw me back when I go over speed bumps!
