This week we will follow the footsteps of Şemseddin Bektaşoğlu... In this episode of Traces, the main stories of Şemseddin Bektaşoğlu are; Şemseddin Bektaşoğlu. We were born in the autumn of 1955 in the Çeğel village of Tirebolu district of Giresun province. I went to primary school in our village, it was a bit far from our home. We were in the lower part of the village. The school was in the middle, we would walk to and from school. The road was quite difficult. We are also very small. I remember the snow and winter. Every morning we would get a piece of wood from home, the students would bring their own wood to school. The wood stove would burn in the winter so we would stay warm, and it was also very disciplined. We would line up when the teachers passed, we would stand at attention. There was no such movement. The first, second and third grades would study in one class; the fourth and fifth grades would study in another class. In other words, there were 2 classes in school under those conditions. We started studying, we started going and coming with those difficulties. Thank God, we finally finished primary school. We moved to Tirebolu for secondary school. My brother had gone to middle school before me. We found a temporary solution for him. But when I started middle school, our family moved to Tirebolu. We started studying there at Tirebolu Middle School. Part of it was high school, there was a middle school section and a high school section.
