In the 22nd century, humanity began to explore and colonize space using large spaceships. One of these ships is the "Aurora", which was sent to the border regions of known space to build a phase gate and search for a missing ship, the "Degasi". Due to an energy impulse of unknown origin, the Aurora crashes at its destination on the water planet 4546B. Before the impact, several crew members are able to escape in rescue capsules. The player takes on the role of one of these members, who is able to save himself alone in "Lifepod 5" and thus land on the water. The player is now essentially faced with two tasks: stay alive and find a way to escape the planet. The plot is told in the form of emergency calls, text messages on PDAs and environmental storytelling. This is intended to lead the player in a general direction, but without significantly restricting the freedom of the player through an overly tight narrative.
