On Saturday 6 April 2024 at 13:00 I stepped on the pedal for the first time out of many hundreds of thousands of times to come. It was to turn out to be the start of a more than 4500 km cycling adventure through the whole of Europe and Morocco, which ended in the sand dunes of the Sahara.
