It is rare to find comfortable house slippers. They either fall off or are uncomfortable. But I found a good model, I have already bought several times. They have a good sole, do not compress and the fabric is decent. The only drawback is the stitching that is stitched through the sole wears out and the slippers fall apart. Using this model, I made a pattern and sewed other slippers according to it. This time I want to update them with my own hands, I have everything for this. 1) The first thing I did was to rip open all the seams. This was not difficult, since they tore. The length of the stitches on the slippers is about one centimeter, this is probably the problem. 2) The insole is strong enough, due to the bamboo insert. Instead, I used construction isolon and brown fleece. 3) I connected three layers and quilted. 4) For the top part I will use denim, the most fail-safe material - strong and does not get dirty. Before work, I changed the needle on the machine to a special one for denim. 5) For rigidity, I added two layers of fleece. I also quilted the parts. 6) I processed the edges with a denim strip. I attached it to the front quilted side, stitched it, overcast the edge and folded it over. 7) At this stage, you can decorate the top part. I took a ribbon, stitched it on the sides and formed a bow, in my opinion, it turned out very nice. 8) I attached the insole and the upper part with clamps, stitched it. 9) I stitched a denim strip to the front side of the slippers, then folded it to the wrong side. 10) In order to avoid rough folds, I gathered the edge of the strip with thread. It would be better to stitch it again, but it is too thick, I saved the machine. I glued this strip to the insole with Moment glue. 11) I applied glue to the main sole and attached the sewn slippers. I pressed it well and fastened everything with clothespins. 12) After 24 hours, you can try on the slippers and not be afraid that they will come unglued. I am sure that the “new” slippers will last longer than the original version. All the best to you! My website: https://shebby-shik.ru/ Zen: https://dzen.ru/profile/editor/shebbi...
