MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, in his speech at the MHP Group Meeting today, requested the pardon of the terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan within the framework of the right to hope and brought up his request for the disbandment of the PKK by addressing the DEM group in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Bahçeli is working to free Abdullah Öcalan. Hiding behind fancy phrases such as Turkey Century, superpower, he is struggling to remove the terrorist organization leader Öcalan from İmralı. Bahçeli, by saying, 'As taboos are lifted, stereotypes are broken, the status quo is broken, people behave honestly towards each other and freely express what they feel, it is easier to move from one point of agreement and consensus to another with small steps.', openly defends negotiations with Öcalan and the PKK terrorist organization. Giving Öcalan the right to hope is taking away the Turkish Nation's hope for the future. Giving Öcalan the right to hope is taking away the hope for justice from the families of thousands of soldiers, police officers, gendarmes, teachers, prosecutors, judges and village guards who have been martyred. Giving Öcalan the right to hope is taking away the hopes of justice of our martyrs and veterans who have lost their legs, arms, eyes and sometimes all of them. Bahçeli is deceiving the Turkish Nation that terrorism will end with Öcalan's release. Even if Öcalan comes to the TBMM and says, "I have dissolved the PKK, I condemn terrorism," many groups within the PKK will reject this statement, the PYD will continue its existence and terrorist activities in Syria, and the PJAK will continue to pose a threat to Turkey. Devlet Bahçeli says, "The TBMM objects to the terrorist leader coming to the DEM party group, but why doesn't it react to his staying in İmralı? What a terrible contradiction." It is unbelievable. The TBMM is the national shrine where the Gazi and the War of Independence were fought. İmralı is the prison where the Turkish justice system sent the terrorist leader. What kind of a mind can say what Bahçeli says? I leave this to the common sense of the Turkish Nation. Inviting Öcalan to speak in the TBMM means defeating the Republic of Turkey against a terrorist organization. Has Bahçeli heard that Atatürk invited Şeyh Sait to speak in the TBMM? Has Bahçeli heard that Atatürk invited Seyyit Rıza to speak in the TBMM? The Turkish Nation has never been faced with such a disgraceful offer. Bahçeli says, “It is time for a Turkish and Turkish century.” We ask Bahçeli, will you establish a Turkish and Turkish century by having Öcalan speak in the TBMM? Bahçeli says, “Just as the Ottoman Empire kept local cultures and ethnic communities together and established an environment of peace and tranquility, it will be able to do the same in the Turkish peace era by following in the footsteps of our ancestors.” Is this where Bahçeli has come to in the 101st year of the national-unitary-secular state of the Republic of Turkey? Moreover, the Ottoman Empire fell apart because it could not keep local cultures and ethnic communities within its body. Now, I ask Devlet Bahçeli the following questions in front of the Turkish Nation and Turkish history: In May 2023, you said, "Many things will change in the coming days, God willing Turkey will not change." What kind of a disaster will you drag Turkey into that you say, God willing Turkey will not change? Could your actions cause Turkey to fall apart? In May 2024, you said, "Turkish Nation" in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Are you going to change the name of our nation like this? What did Öcalan ask from you to disband the PKK, what did you give? How will you grant the rights granted by the Ottoman State without changing the first four articles of our current Constitution? The main goal of Erdoğan and Bahçeli is to bring the Turkish State and the Turkish Nation face to face with a threat for an arrangement that will ensure that Erdoğan will be the president until his death. Bahçeli says in the press conference, "The peak of misery is being dependent on someone else's will." Yes, this is indeed the peak of misery. Finally, I suggest you open a district headquarters in Imrali. One vote is one vote. Get the votes you couldn't get from Turkish nationalists from Ocalan. #DevletBahceli #AbdullahOcalan #RecepTayyipErdogan
