They have demonstrated that throughout life, the brain remodels itself. Thus, it is in a continuous change of its structure, the number of cells, the circuits and intercellular connections. How is this possible? Neuroplasticity occurs as a result of life experience and the way we think. All the choices we make and the beliefs we have directly impact our brain. With this information, we can understand how affirmations can work. Autosuggestion works, the important thing is to set the affirmation correctly and to be persistent in supporting it. When formulating affirmations, keep in mind some suggestions that Robert Anthony presents in the book “Beyond Positive Thinking”. – are made in the present tense; – express what you want, not what you don’t want; – are specific and contain words that trigger feelings and emotions; – are credible and create a balance.
