I've been waiting for this 4K 240Hz ► https://ktr.fan/Gigabyte-FO32U2P for years. I received it free of charge with the material from Gigabyte. Ergotron HX is a mount that will now support my main monitor. It was sent to me free of charge with the material by the official distributor Alstor. The Gigabyte FO32U2P monitor is the cherry on the cake of the current generation of monitors. It is one of the latest representatives of monitors with a 32-inch QD-OLED matrix. It has a resolution of 4K - 3840x2160 pixels with a refresh rate of 240Hz :D But what makes it stand out is what the manufacturer decided to implement in it. Well, it is a monitor with a unique DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 connector and that kept me awake for a while :D Well, many manufacturers have now released twin models. Including Aorus, which also has a lower FO32U2 model. But when I looked at the announcements (because it could have changed), only the FO32U2P had a connector with the UHBR20 certificate. What does this change for us users? Well, exactly... Nothing for today, because only cards (I hope so) will appear with the new connector. Now we can only rely on DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC compression: https://glenwing.github.io/docs/VESA-... You don't have to know this document by heart to understand it, I'm just sending it to you as a curiosity about what the VESA consortium published :D It gives us the ability to use resolutions such as 4K 240Hz without having a sufficiently good connector. The current generation of cards, both Radeon and NVidia, simply can't handle their ports. Just like Radeons from the 7000 series have DP 2.1, they only have limited bandwidth to UHBR10 if I remember correctly, and NVIDIA still has DP 1.4 :D For this reason, I didn't have the opportunity to test Daisy Chain, which I couldn't run on any computer, until HQ Aorus finally answered me - you have to have DP 2.1, otherwise it won't work xD But everything else works :D! What I wanted in my new screen is. OLED, 16:9 aspect ratio, 4K, very high Herze :D And in the material, maybe I went too far on the technical topics of connectors and certificates. I could probably make another 30-minute episode about that. Anyone in favor :D? Models I mention in today's episode: Aorus FO32U2 - cheaper Aorus FO32U2P - more expensive Ergotron HX - Miłego's monitor arm ^^!
