Six years ago, more than five years ago, I boarded that Conviasa plane that would bring me to Spain, no longer as a tourist, but to live, to begin a new migratory adventure after having failed the first one. On this occasion, the fears and cautions were much greater, because the almost two-year stay in Panama left us bankrupt, so this second process was practically one-way, there were no savings left for a third attempt, nor was there any desire to return to Venezuela. All this time here has been a continuous learning process, with better and worse moments, with very hard times and others that were easier, with successes and failures, but if something has remained constant it is my admiration and fondness for this country. Because Spain is wonderful, Spain is special and unique, because it is a country of opportunities, it is a country where you can get ahead and achieve things, not only in the material, but also in the cultural, spiritual and personal. In these years I have taken courses, met people, discovered places, flavors and unique experiences that I would not have had if I had not emigrated. I have also built and achieved goals. I have even completed a university degree from scratch. In the end, as a summary of these six years, I can say that I have been and am happy. Because Spain has shown me that not everything in life is about making money, because happiness, true happiness, goes far beyond the economic and that is one of the things that I am most grateful for in this country and this society.
