However, for conservation reasons, this prehistoric jewel is permanently closed to the public. If I'm talking to you about Lascaux today, it's because a new reconstruction of the cave, this one virtual, has just been made. Virtual reality technology, coupled with a very high definition scan of the cave walls, allows for a completely new immersive experience. And for that, no need to go to Dordogne: just go to the heart of Paris, to the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine.
