Hello everyone, I'm gradually getting back into videos, with pleasure I specify I unfortunately don't have time to make commented videos for you but at least it regularly feeds the channel with content here I think: original! I had some pipe problems in my kitchen last summer and it was an opportunity for me to do things more properly than 15 years ago. I hadn't taken the time to do a manhole at the time and I knew it would happen.... bam, it happened, so I have to do a manhole in my travertine courtyard and that's where the work is interesting. As I say quite often, doing masonry when building a new house is very simple, but when renovating it's completely the opposite. Everything is much more difficult: existing tiles, complicated access, tile connections, aesthetic logic so as not to be an eyesore in the courtyard. There's no shortage of work for this simple manhole because without counting the demolition, unblocking the drain, then renovating the manhole, I spent about ten hours! for those who are wondering I replaced the 90 degree elbow with a 45 degree elbow and it is only for a rainwater drain which is not currently connected, but it should not be done (everyone does it) because we do not mix rainwater with water connected to the sewer the left elbow is for rainwater and the pvc which is straight is my kitchen, I always prefer to make a water line in pvc because it avoids snagging and I find that it is better, there you go.. I think I put glue for the pvc connections even if you can't see it in the pictures, it is better to do it for the angles that I ground pvc pipes it is to be able to ferret around if in the future it gets blocked again because we are quickly cramped once everything is closed I put a cement plate + styrodur (jackoboard) to make my inspection hatch in travertine, I find this technique better than the classic cement traps because they are less heavy and insulated, the disadvantage of course is that you have to avoid jumping on them with both feet, but for angle views it lends itself perfectly to it, part 2 coming soon, sorry if there is no editing, that is not the point adishatz nicolas
