At the age of 20, Danielle decided to stop drinking. It was while she was still young that she realized that her relationship with alcohol was very problematic and that drinking intensified or accompanied all the bad things that happened in her life. Alcohol entered Dani's life when she was 14, at parties with teenagers that she attended. What used to be an occasional consumption, something that teenagers do, started to become more frequent when she lost her father in a motorcycle accident. Drinking became Dani's daily companion until she was 20, but it was a bad companion, that only harmed her, taking her away from reality. Realizing this, Dani sought psychological help, went to Alcoholics Anonymous and realized that she was an alcoholic. The strangeness of this diagnosis due to her age came not only from Dani, but also from some friends, who questioned or doubted the importance of her sobriety. But she kept going and is still going strong. Dani is not looking for 30, 50 years away from alcohol, her focus to stay away from drinking is always the next 24 hours. A day free from alcohol is a day of huge victory. And if you're wrong, she stopped enjoying life, going to parties, festivals... Dani says that now she even enjoys it better because there is nothing that takes her awareness of that moment.
