One more year we have sung the Hymn of Pilar in Valdeltormo. We did it at the end of the mass that was celebrated last Saturday, October 12, in honor of the Virgin of Pilar, an image that for some years has had a prominent place in the parish of the municipality. ????️In Valdeltormo, as in many towns in Aragon, on this day we sing to the Virgin and gift her with ????flowers. As is tradition, some people wear regional costume, especially the festival queens, who now in October have worn their bands again and have left flowers to the Virgin. As has also been customary for some years, the municipal Corporation, in this case represented by the mayor, José Gabriel Alcober, and the first deputy mayor, César Alcober, placed a centerpiece of flowers at the feet of the Virgin, thus beginning the flower offering. ???? The video is long, 4 minutes and 48 seconds, but the intention has been clear, to record the entire hymn of the Pilar sung in our church of the Assumption. Although the quality is not very good (the recording is made with a mobile phone from the choir), the important thing is the testimony and saving it on the YouTube channel, accessible to everyone. ????On the first bench, as usual, we see the Municipal Corporation. On the bench on the right, the councilors of the government team, and on the left, the opposition councilors together with the justice of the peace. Behind the mayor and his councilors, as is also customary, sit the queens of the festivities and other women dressed in regional costume. ????At the piano, Patricia Alcober.
