The floating houseboat Emma, built in 1934 by Shipyard Van Diepen in Waterhuizen as a Wad- and Sontvaarder for a German customer, had to go from her mooring in Amsterdam to Shipyard Vooruit in Zaandam for the periodic yard maintenance. A great opportunity to see her sailing and the DWK/Mak 3M423 running. Owner Mathieu Nab let the previous owner, Jelle Groenhof, sail the Emma. After serious damage, Groenhof overhauled the engine and can tell you a lot about it.
