■ The Lost Oasis Green Wall, Dreaming of an Oasis. It systematically emphasizes the importance of oases, the desert’s lifeblood, and includes the Taklamakan Desert, Turpan, Jiaohe Ancient City, Mingsha Mountain in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, and the Cashmere Cluster in Inner Mongolia. It explains that the 5,000 km long underground waterway, Karez, in the desert is the cornerstone of producing green grapes and raisins in the Turpan region, and describes the difficult lives of local residents who build gers around the crescent-moon-shaped oasis, the Yueya River, and save on water, using only a small amount of water for daily use.
