Patreon, Almuzara, and Amazon, you can search for me as Victor Aguilar-Chang ------------------------------------------------------ Hello, On June 4, 1942, the Americans won the famous Battle of Midway, and with that victory they decided to go on the offensive, and on July 5 it was decided to capture the islands of Guadalcanal and Tulagi. Thus, two months after Midway, at 09,10 hours on August 7, 1942, a force of 11,000 US Marines began landing on Guadalcanal and elements of that force secured the airfield at 16:00 hours on August 8.
