This time the invitation was accepted by the Jiří Pavlici band - Hradišťan. This is a unique musical group with a high artistic and interpretative level, an unusually wide range of genres and an unconventional repertoire, whose strong source of inspiration was folk tradition, especially in the early days of its existence. Since 1978, the artistic director of Hradišťan has been a creative personality - violinist and composer Jiří Pavlica, under whose leadership the dramaturgy began to gradually transform into broader historical, geographical, but also social contexts. Interpretative demands on the members of the ensemble have also increased. Jiří Pavlica's original work has gradually become prominent, and it completely dominates in recent projects. Today, Hradišťan is a professional ensemble that works primarily with the legacy of folk tradition and its philosophical overlap. It crosses the boundaries of musical genres and collaborates with personalities from various cultures around the world. It is a frequent guest at domestic and foreign festivals of traditional, alternative, and also classical music. Hradišťan collaborates with radio, television and film, has performed on 4 continents, recorded more than 30 major audio recordings and collaborated on many others. The way of working, dramaturgy and artistic level rank Hradišťan among the original and unmistakable ensembles of the Czech and international music scene.
