It is the time of judgment and the final reckoning of mankind before God. Its events include the end of the lives of all mankind and creatures, then mankind will be resurrected and raised from their graves, then they will be presented to the divine reckoning. Then God Almighty will reward the faithful monotheists with Paradise and the infidels and polytheists with Hell. It is called the Day of Resurrection because the dead will rise from their deaths on that day, i.e. they will be resurrected for their reckoning and recompense. Muslims also believe that the Day of Resurrection has signs that precede its occurrence and are called the Signs of the Hour or the Signs of the Day of Resurrection, and they are divided into minor signs and major signs.
