Grodno Castle in Zagórze Śląskie is one of the most important monuments in Lower Silesia. The first written mention of the stronghold, then called Kinsberg (Kynsburg), dates back to 1315. The construction of the medieval castle is commonly attributed to the Duke of Świdnica-Jawor, Bolko I the Strict. But is that really true?
