In this episode, you will learn five entrepreneurial lessons about 'more success with LinkedIn' in twenty minutes. Corinne Keijzer started building her knowledge about LinkedIn when she herself ended up in the 'job seeker' category in the past. She answers the central question: how do I use LinkedIn successfully? #1 'Your personal profile is your digital business card, make sure it looks that way.' Everyone knows how it works: if you have a business appointment or a job interview, you can be almost certain that the person you are meeting with will type your name into the Google search field. Your LinkedIn profile is most likely among the top search results. But what should such a LinkedIn profile look like? Keijzer: 'The way you want to profile yourself as a professional. A good profile photo and a good summary that shows who you are and what you have to offer contribute to that.' #2 'Make yourself visible and indispensable as an expert in your field through good, informative and professional content.' What is good, informative and professional content? Keijzer: 'Be yourself and show what your expertise is. This can be done by sharing blogs and stories from other people. You don't have to create it all yourself. Take people along in your story and show them what you are doing. This will give you more reach.' #3 'Always create a company page, even if you are a self-employed person or an SME.' Me, myself and I: why would you also create a company page as a self-employed person? Keijzer: 'As a self-employed person, the personal profile is the most important, you have to create that goodwill factor. It's really about you. You are your company. But a company page is there to profile your company. In addition, there are a number of examples that do not have a personal profile, such as that you can advertise on LinkedIn.' #4 'Don't be afraid to network, also add people you don't know (yet) and build relationships' Adding someone you don't know: do you ever do that? Keijzer: 'I mainly see it as an opportunity. It can lead to nice conversations or great assignments. When you send a newsletter, you don't know exactly who will read that mailing. It's not about who you know, it's about who knows you. The quality of the network is very important.' #5 'Building relationships offline is at least as important as online, don't go for quantity but quality and earn the goodwill factor.' Online is just online. Keijzer: 'If you meet people in real life, you have a completely different match with people. Online reinforces offline.' More entrepreneurial lessons?
