CHRONIC PROSTATITIS The prostate is an auxiliary reproductive organ found in every man. This organ is an organ located under the urinary bladder, in front of the last part of the large intestine, through which a part of the urinary tract after the bladder passes. It is the size and shape of a medium-sized chestnut. Most of the complaints in prostate diseases are related to compression of the urinary tract passing through it. The prostate, as in every man, grows with age. But it grows a lot in some men and less in others. Prostatitis is an inflammatory disease of the prostate organ. Prostatitis is examined in two groups. Acute prostatitis: It develops suddenly and is severe. It is rare, it is a disease of the elderly. There is high fever, sweating, shivering, weakness, difficulty urinating and inability to urinate. It is the least common type of prostatitis. Chronic prostatitis: It progresses insidiously, is very mild. It is a disease of young people. It is the most common form of prostatitis. Chronic prostatitis is a disease of young people and young adult men who have passed puberty. The most common form of prostate diseases in the elderly is benign prostatic hyperplasia, which we call BPH, and prostate cancer. Prostatitis is not a contagious disease. It is not transmitted from someone else and is not a sexually transmitted disease. A man with prostatitis does not transmit this disease to his partner. Bacteria may enter the prostate as a result of the urine moving into the prostate with reverse flow from previous urinary tract infections.
