Touching on the theme of the lived, today we want to talk to you about a style that makes past objects its strong point: it is the Shabby Chic style. We firmly believe that the appreciation for this style, born in England in the 80s, lies precisely in the adjective "lived". Yes, because in it there is all the flavor, the warmth and above all the charm of things that have a story to tell. Furnishing also means narrating: every object has a past behind it, which is made explicit, or rather that must be made explicit, through the furniture. Nothing can be casual. From an emotional and therapeutic point of view, it is instead suitable for those who need security, and to feel wrapped in an almost totally informal atmosphere. Today we present the transformation of a simple chair of little value, into a large piece with a unique design, in style, precisely, Shabby Chic. Realization: The chair to be transformed is recovered and goes through a cleaning process. Subsequently, the object is treated with special products and then colored. A sanding in some parts of the surface completes the realization. Insights: Shabby Chic originated in the English countryside, where houses were furnished with old and faded furniture, without too many pretensions. In Italy we saw its appearance towards the end of the 80s thanks to its creator and designer Rachel Ashwell, who gave life to this style with the recovery of old furniture for the creation of familiar and welcoming environments, characterized by the attention to detail that transforms it into a poor, but luxurious style at the same time. #Woodworking #Chair #Shabbychic
