How to read the richness of your motorcycle carburetor? Too lean? Too rich? We tell you everything! "You're too rich!" We've all heard it before... Do you know how to influence the richness of your motorcycle? Too lean, too rich, with Doc and Simon we give you some tips to adjust your motorcycle carburetor. First of all, the engine works thanks to the carburetor of your motorcycle. Its mission is very simple and complex at the same time, it must deliver a perfect Air/fuel mixture to create an explosion in the combustion chamber. The problem is that a carburetor can be too rich or too lean, the altitude, the gasoline, the temperature, or the size of the jets will play on the richness. We can adjust our carburetor with a precise indicator which is the spark plug, in fact, you just have to remove the spark plug and look at its color, here are the different colors that you can encounter: Black spark plug with deposit: Carburetor too rich, you risk blowing spark plugs left and right. White, dry spark plug: Carburetion too poor, you are missing gasoline, high engine lubrication, so you need to give more richness, be careful you risk engine seizure in a very short time. Cream-colored spark plug, coffee with milk: This is the perfect color, well done, your motorcycle thanks you!
