HOW TO READ BOOKS CHAPTER 4 - INSPECTIONAL READING - AUDIOBOOK BOOKBOOK Inspectional Reading It is divided into two phases: Pre-reading or systematic probing The second level is inspection reading. The reader becomes able to read as if he were a detective, reading more than once, analyzing sentences, titles, indexes and every detail that gives clues about the subject. It is a quick reading, just to find out what is in the book, but with the intention of research. This is the probing level, involving the selection and cataloging of books based on the central theme addressed. It is necessarily a quick reading, done to make discoveries. Inspectional reading can be done crosswise, diagonally. In this case, only the titles, subtitles, quotes, lists, indexes, synopses, preface and afterword are read. Include in this strategy the information that is on the back of the books. Another possible strategy is to read quickly, without stopping to reflect or study the topics that were not understood. Just read quickly, doing a “dynamic reading” to know if the book is worth your time or not. Did you like the content?
