Type “Forbes” into Google and you’ll see that its covers are mostly graced by white executives. If it’s up to Lisiane Lemos, this result will soon be different. A leader in several diversity initiatives, whose influence was recently recognized by Forbes magazine, Lisiane explains in this TEDxTalk that the world is moving towards having more diversity of colors, voices and stories in corporations. But she warns that there is still a lot to be done. Want to know where to start? Named by Forbes as one of the standout Brazilians under 30, Lisiane Lemos is the co-founder of the Black Professionals Network, a collective that seeks to break down barriers between black professionals and companies through diversity policies and social movements. Today, she co-leads the Racial Equality Working Group of the Mulheres do Brasil group and the Black Professionals Network of São Paulo and participates in the Blacks @Microsoft group. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
