On the one hand, we have diatonic modulation, which consists of using a chord common to both keys. This will be the meeting point between the outgoing and incoming keys. On the other hand, we have chromatic modulation, which is produced by means of a chromaticism in one or two voices that leads us to another key. Thirdly, there is enharmonic modulation, which is done by enharmonizing a note of a chord. The most suitable for this is the diminished seventh, which, depending on how it is written, serves as the sensitive of eight keys at the same time.
