Batteries need a charger with a voltage higher than their voltage, so we are going to modify the output voltage of a PC source since its highest output voltage is 12 volts and it would not work to charge a 12 volt battery, with a small modification we can get up to 14 volts, just enough to charge a 12 volt battery like a car battery or a smaller battery.
