We consider how to measure the internal resistance of a battery and a battery using two different methods. The internal resistance of a battery, for example, a lithium-ion 18650, and a battery is not constant and depends on a number of factors. These include the load current, cell aging, and ambient temperature. It is impossible to measure the internal resistance directly, for example, with an ohmmeter, so it is measured indirectly - with an ammeter and voltmeter and with only a voltmeter. First, you need to measure the voltage of the battery, battery, or galvanic cell at idle, i.e. without load. In fact, we thus find out the EMF - the electromotive force of the cell. Then connect the load, for example, in the form of a resistor or a low-voltage incandescent lamp, and again measure the voltage, as well as the current. Knowing the EMF, voltage and current, we calculate the value of the internal resistance. If you use the second method, then it is enough to know the voltage, EMF and load resistance. Knowing the value of the internal resistance of the battery, we can estimate the degree of its wear, as well as the maximum current that the element can give while maintaining an acceptable voltage level.
