Website: https://sarahbarlose.dk Bootcamp: http://sarahbarlose.dk/gruppeforloeb/ Butter Chicken (264 kcal per serving) For 4 servings Ingredients: For the chicken: 600 g chicken breast, diced 2 tsp turmeric 2 tsp salt 2 tsp pepper 2 tsp garam masala 2 tsp sweet paprika 15 g fresh ginger, grated 3 cloves garlic, minced For the sauce: 1 onion, minced 1 can chopped tomatoes (400 g) 140 g Greek yogurt (2% recommended) 15 g butter 15 g cashew nuts Method: Prepare the chicken: Mix the chicken pieces with turmeric, salt, pepper, garam masala, sweet paprika, ginger and garlic. Fry the chicken: Heat a pan and fry the chicken until almost done. Set aside. Make the sauce: In the same pan, melt the butter and fry the onions until soft and golden. Add the chopped tomatoes, yoghurt, cashew nuts and spices. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Blend the sauce: Blend the sauce until smooth and pour it back into the pan. Mix the chicken and sauce: Add the chicken to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Serving: Serve with 70 g cooked rice or homemade flatbreads. Flatbreads For 4 small flatbreads Ingredients: 150 g yoghurt (Greek or plain) 150 g flour (wheat flour or wholemeal flour) Optional spices (e.g. garlic powder, oregano or cumin) Oil for frying Method: Make the dough: Mix the yoghurt, flour and spices and knead the dough until soft and pliable. Shape the flatbreads: Divide the dough into 4 balls and roll or press them flat. Fry the flatbreads: Heat a pan with a little oil and fry the breads for 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden. Serving: Serve hot with melted butter and freshly chopped coriander, if desired. Tip: The dish and flatbreads can be prepared in advance and heated before serving.
