Welcome to Cooking with Jop! In this video I share a delicious recipe for Indonesian croquettes. This dish is perfect as a festive snack. Follow the step-by-step instructions and enjoy a delicious meal full of flavor and with a pinch of salt! Ingredients: 1 kilo floury potatoes 50 grams of butter ½ teaspoon nutmeg salt and pepper to taste 2 eggs 300 grams of minced beef dash of oil 1 onion 3 cloves of garlic 1 red pepper approx. 100 grams of carrot 2 tablespoons ketjap manis (ABC) 1 tablespoon oyster sauce 1 teaspoon sugar 1-2 spring onions celery salt and pepper to taste flour 3 eggs breadcrumbs oil for frying Instructions: Step 1 Peel 1 kilo of floury potatoes and boil them until done. Add 50 grams of butter, 1 teaspoon nutmeg and salt and pepper to taste, make a smooth puree and let cool. Stir 2 raw eggs into the puree Step 2 Fry 300 grams of minced beef in a frying pan with a dash of oil until crumbly Step 3 Chop an onion and 3 cloves of garlic and fry briefly Step 4 Grate a piece of carrot of approx. 100 grams and cut a red pepper into small pieces. Fry briefly Step 5 Season the minced meat with 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, a finely chopped spring onion, some finely chopped celery and salt and pepper to taste. Let cool Step 6 Divide the mashed potato into approximately 15 equal parts. Make balls of these, press a hole in each and fill with a fifteenth of the minced meat mixture. Close the balls and knead them into a croquette-like shape Step 7 Roll each croquette in a bowl of flour, then in a bowl of beaten egg and finally in a bowl of breadcrumbs Step 8 Fry the croquettes in hot oil until golden brown, drain briefly on kitchen paper and serve with a chili sauce Cooking is fun.
