In this video you will see how to assemble a niche in a plasterboard ceiling for hidden fastening of a cornice with your own hands. I will also make reinforcement for further installation of a suspended ceiling. Link to milling of gypsum board: • Subtleties of milling of plasterboard LE... First, decide at what distance from the wall with a window the ceiling cornice will be located. Consider not only the width of the window sill, but also the dimensions of the heating radiator, which, as a rule, is located under the window. It is often difficult to harmoniously fit the cornices on which the curtains are attached into the interior of the room. The problem is complicated if you plan to make suspended ceilings: you need to think through and arrange the fastening of heavy curtains or drapes in advance. In addition, all these elements will be reflected on the glossy surface of the ceiling, which does not look very nice. The solution may be to install a special niche for plasterboard curtains, which will not only hide unwanted elements, but also add elegance to the room.
